OVID isn’t just a name—it’s a statement of rebellion, artistry, and transformation.

We take inspiration from Publius Ovidius Naso, better known as Ovid, the ancient Roman  poet who defied an empire. While Augustus, the ruler of Rome, enforced strict control over  society, Ovid wrote about transformation, beauty, and self-expression—ideas that  challenged the rigid norms of his time. His masterpiece, Metamorphoses, explored how  beauty is ever-changing, deeply personal, and uniquely experienced by each individual.

That same spirit of defiance, creativity, and reinvention drives OVID today. We reject the  corporate-controlled beauty industry that dictates trends, limits artistry, and prioritizes  mass-market sales over professionals. We believe beauty is personal—it’s about how you  feel, not what the industry tells you to believe.

For us, beauty is power, transformation, and self-expression. Every stylist, every salon, and  every client defines beauty in their own way. And OVID exists to give professionals the tools  to create that transformation, on their terms.
